From Believer to Disciple

As Christians, we are called to live a life that is pleasing to God, and discipleship plays a vital role in helping us achieve that. It involves following Jesus Christ and learning from Him. Through discipleship, we are taught how to live out our faith, how to pray, how to study the Bible, and how to share the Gospel with others.  It is also an opportunity to receive guidance, encouragement, and accountability from mature believers.

Sitting Under Right Teaching is Vital

The Word of God is the foundation of our faith. By sitting under sound teaching and studying the Bible, we can grow in our understanding of who God is, His plan for our lives, and His purposes for the world. We run the risk of becoming spiritually stagnant and may find it difficult to comprehend God’s plan for our life without regular instruction and exposure to God’s Word. As a result, every Christian’s spiritual development depends on receiving instruction that is founded in God’s Word.

The Power of Guidance

Mentors play an important role in the discipleship process. They provide guidance, support, and accountability as we navigate our spiritual journey. Having a mentor can help us improve our spiritual disciplines, grow in our connection with God, and get through any barriers or challenges we may encounter.

The Power of Being in God's Presence Together

In addition to personal study and mentorship, being part of a community of believers is essential for spiritual growth. We can worship God, receive teaching and encouragement, and serve one another by making time to get together with other believers.
